In most cases, you are not fully covered with an annual travel insurance policy during a long stay abroad. It is often not possible to travel for more than 90 to 180 consecutive days. Annual travel insurance is primarily intended for travellers who go on holiday several times a year and therefore do not stay together for a long period of time. If you go abroad for a long period to do an internship, to study or to work, there is a chance that you are not fully covered.
