Advantages FBTO for students
- Separate additional modules so you can only choose the care you need. In addition, you can switch the modules on/off (abroad, dental, etc.) until January 31st. You can activate the modules Ongevallen, Tand Ongeval and Zorg in het Buitenland throughout the year.
- Various useful e-health apps that you can use.
Disadvantages FBTO for students
- FBTO has a relatively higher premium for basic insurance;
- Do you opt for the ‘natura’ policy? Please note that you will be reimbursed up to 75% of the healthcare costs with care providers who are not under contract.
Additional Packages
FBTO offers several additional modules that you can take out on top of your basic package. This way, you can choose exactly the care that you need. You can switch these modules on and off until January 31st, and you can even switch certain modules on all year round. For some modules, you can only take out these at the same time as the basic insurance.
Dental Insurance
The Dental module reimburses costs that you incur at the dentist and oral hygienist. Orthodontics is not covered here. You choose the amount you want to insure yourself. You can only take out the dental module at the same time as the basic insurance of FBTO.
Healthcare Abroad
Are you planning to go abroad? The basic health insurance covers costs up to the standard Dutch rate. If the costs are higher, this module reimburses the difference..
Dental Accident Coverage
Have you damaged your teeth due to an accident? This module provides coverage for dental care by a dentist or oral surgeon.
Facial care & Orthodontics
The module Facial Care and Orthodontics is an extensive package. It offers reimbursements for, among other things, orthodontics, acne treatment, glasses or contact lenses and electrical hair removal.
Recovery & Aftercare
Via the module Recovery & Aftercare you can be reimbursed care related to illness and recovery, such as the birth control pill and palliative care
Muscles & Joints
The module Muscles &Joints offers coverage for physical or manual therapy. You can choose between coverage for 3, 6 or 9 sessions.
Students and FBTO
The health insurer FBTO does not offer a special discount or age discount for students.
